Drawing 53600WD B Rev 9 (the PDF on the site AF-4500 support page) show the EFIS expansion connector as a 15 pin D connector. I have an A-4500 and AF-3500 screen. Both have DB-9 connectors.

Drawing 53600WD B Rev 7 in the User Guide and installation manual show the EFIS expansion connector as a DB-9

Question: The backup power on the 15 pin EFIS expansion connector (pin 6) is not shown on the 9-pin expansion connector. Is this the same power pin as pin 15 on the EFIS main cable connector?

The Rev 9 drawing shows it as backup power, the Rev 7 drawing shows it as backup power. The Rev 9 drawing has pin1 and 9 connected to the same power source. The Rev 7 drawing shows them as separate power sources.

Are they the same internally?

The AF-4000 series units have the DB-9 and the AF-5000 have the DB-15.

The AF-4000 units do not have backup power on the DB-9 connector, they use an internal backup battery.
