Does the 4500s have the ability to remote control channel settings on a SL-40, like a SL-30?

If not, is it even in the plans?

I seem to recall the answer was no, but search didn't turn up previous threads. Perhaps I recall reading it in the old forum.

thanks,

bob

Yes and No

All of the current EFIS screens have the software to tune the SL30 and SL40 radio, currently the only way to select a frequency is from a Garmin 396, 496, 696,... connected to the EFIS. If the EFIS detects a frequency selected on a Garmin GPS it will tune a connected SL30 or SL40 standby freq. We are working on the interface to select the frequency on our airport Frequency page and tune the radio. We will have this ability in the near future for the SL30, SL40 and some new radios we are working with.

Good news! I'll wire the port and patiently wait for the software update.

The AF-5000 will tune the SL30 and SL40. The AF-4500 does not have radio tuning from the screen.
