Does anyone know how to obtain navaid/airport & weather information (METAR's) for airports along a route of flight? This was easy on my 396 (just pan to the airport and click on it), but I do not know how to do this on the 3400, nor is it described in the manual.

I do not think it is available with the current software, but should be in the future.

Push the Nearest button and scroll to the airport of interest and press the Metar button. Works great... Looking forward to TAFs being included in the future.

That will work for airports in the nearest list. But ArjanPlomp asked if you could pan and select. That feature is not available. Yet....

Thanks!
Both answers helped me. Hopefully the panning will soon be available, but at least Metar info is available. TAF's would be even better. I'm using the NavWorx receiver (provided via AFS).

We are currently flight testing the latest software "s" CPU and the Metar's and TAF's are working, we hope to have it released in the next couple of weeks.

Any word on NEXRAD? I didn't install my 496 in the panel and really hate having it on the dash...
