This is my first post to the forum.

My RV7 EI-EEO is finally ready to fly! I moved it to a field yesterday for final assembly.

I powered everthing up, including my AF3500. Everything was fine except it was registering an airspeed of 42Kts. I switched it off and on again, and it was still registering an airspeed, only this time it was 38/39Kts. It has been about a month or so I powered up the panel and EFIS.

Is this a problem or can it be reset?

Best regards,

Andrew Butler

Hi Andrew, do you have anything in the SHIFT ADJUST field in the Airspeed menu of Instrument Calibration?

Hi Trevor,

In an eMail exchange with Travis last night, I remembered my static ports were plugged with some silicone to prevent paint ingress. I'll unplug them and see if that makes a difference. This won't be till Friday though.

Regards,

Andrew.

Hi Trevor,

Unplugging the Static vents solved the "problem". On the plus side, I have now verifed that my static systems is leak free! I have used the plugin plastic tubes and fittings that StenAir sell. They appear to work great!
