Chuck, all of the optional features are selectively enabled/disabled in the Calibration menu. Scroll down to the second page where it says Pitch Trim. You will see a line that says Instrument On/Off. You can also have it AUTO HIDE, so it disappears unless you are moving the trim.

We have support for pitch and aileron trim as well as flap position.

Will that work in conunction with a VP-X that is providing trim limiting/safety or does the servo have to be directly connected to the AFS?

If you have the VP-X, you'll want the trim to be connected to it. The VP-X provides more functions in regards to trim, than the EFIS. I don't believe that there is any integration between the VP-X and the EFIS in regards to trim at this time. Trim and Flap position annunciation is redundant in this case. You only need to use it in one location. In my mind, not a big issue. Leave the VP-X up on a MFD to see the VP-X annunciation.
