Pitot Mounting Mast Length

Is the length of the pitot tube mounting mast critical for the accuracy of a Dynon pitot heated with AOA? I have one mounted on my RV-7 that is 4" long that I would like to reuse but it appears the one Dynon sells is longer.

The length is not critical. As long as the mast shares the common AN-5812 profile, third party masts such as the popular Gretz mast will work fine.
