I've been seeing intermittent issues with my fuel and oil pressure sensors on the 5500.
Sometimes when the engine is cold, the pressures will read way high (like 45psi fuel,
110 psi oil). Usually they return to normal when the engine gets warm(but not always).
When the engine is shut down, the pressures do not return to zero. I've tried re-setting
the zero point in the calibration page, but then I might see large negative pressures
on other days. Do I need to replace the sensors?

If you have VDO sensors (41115, 41215, 41315) with over 200 hours its probably time to replace them. They have a tendency to wear out. Some users have luck with their install for longer some replace more often.

If you have VDO you can get your screen converted to use the new Kavlico sensor which doesn't have this same issue but it does require wiring and sending any non -V (in the part number) EMS in for modification.

Thanks. Exactly where do I look to find out if my system needs to be sent back for wiring changes?

The most reliable way to verify the setting is to:

Disconnect the 37pin EMS harness.
Enter calibration

AF-3000, AF-4000: CHECK -> MAINT. -> ADMIN -> Hold CALIBRATION
AF-5000: SET -> Hold CAL
AF-5400: SET -> PAGE -> Hold CAL

NEXT or Navigate to Oil Pressure and SELect
On this page you will see the AD_VALUE

If it above 4000 you have Resistive Sensing and needs modification
If it below 100 you have Voltage Sensing any you are set.

BACK and repeat for Fuel Pressure
