Expansion cable connection

Im hooking up the afs gps to the expansion connector. One diagram shows drawing power from pin 1 of expansion receptacle, another shows drawing power from main cable pin 6, the old oat terminal. Is either/both correct?

Ok I see p 237 shows 8v out @ 350 ma for pin 1. This should be ok for afs gps?
