Trying to lay out and understand interaction between connections of each screen's serial ports. There are four serial in/out for each screen as I understand. Can each screen have different connected I/O devices and share information through the network? I assume this must be so since there are more devices than inputs, and should certain devices be connected to only specific screens ( adsb to map screen not pilot screen for example, or vpx to pilot screen and not map screen)? Or do shared serial lines simply ignore other info and only respond to pertinent data? Please clarify.

You should look at page 92 "System Overview and Planning"

It depends on what equipment you have and the AHRS you are using.

You should connect the following items to one of the the PFD's 5 serial ports (#0 - #4)

Transponder
ARINC Module
Autopilot
GPS Navigator serial port

If you have two GPS units or two nav radios you should make sure to split them between screens for redundancy.

I have the ADAHRS cable to plug into the 5 port splitter. The Efis cable I have has the compass cable not used with adahrs, I'm assuming this is serial port 0 is this correct?
