If a published missed approach procedure calls for a minimum altitude prior to a turn I believe that the 430w will not allow a turn from final Appr crs until the minimum altitude, if stated in the missed approach procedure, has been reached. That is not what I am seeing in practice. AP will start a turn immediately. Any idea why? RV10 with 4500 and 5500. Thanks

from my experience at the map the 430w goes into suspend mode- no guidance
you have to take it out of suspend after climbing and or turning as per the missed approach procedure
i disengage the autopilot at or before the map then reengage it after following the initial procedure hand flying
if you have minimums set in the plane will level off and not go below if the ap is still engaged at the map

I am referring to period after taking the 430w out of susp. Rob or Shawn, can you comment?

My 430W did the same thing, have you asked Garmin about it? The Autopilot is following the Roll Steering out of the 430W without any modification from the EFIS.

I always thought it was a limitation with the 430W, the GTN-650 in my RV-10 waits for the altitude.
