Anyone know when the software release is due to allow AF3400EM to use GPS altitude to calculate %HP? With EM systems there is no altitude info available except external. My GPS feeds to the 3400 but it stores a non-usable value. It would also be nice to have altitude for flight tracking purposes.

We are hoping to have that incorporated into the next software release (this week or next)

Any update on the new software release?

Not yet, our software engineers are still working out the bugs. The weather here in the Northwest has not helped the flight testing process either. We are hoping for some sun so we can flight test the new software before it is released.

How about an update?

I just spoke with our lead software engineer. That feature has not yet been incorporated and we are not sure when it will be.

How accurate are the %HP calculations and displayed value without the altitude component? For us EM-only folks, could make the %HP display useless.

The %HP calculations on an EM-only display will be accurate only at sea-level. Until we are able to utilize GPS altitude for that calculation, we recommend users refer to their engine manufacturers performance data.

Any update on a release date for the new software? I'm currently running a beta version and would much rather be on a full release... :-)
